Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 27, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how The Social Fable (“The Social Fable,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects information when you use our services, including our in-house tool that schedules and publishes content to social media accounts connected through the official APIs of Meta (Facebook and Instagram), TikTok, and YouTube.
1. Introduction
The Social Fable is a social media marketing agency. As part of our services, we operate a tool that allows our clients to schedule and publish content to their own — or their authorized — social media accounts, and to view performance reporting for that content. This policy covers the information handled through that tool and our related websites and services. It applies to the people who use our tool and connect accounts to it. Your use of the connected platforms themselves remains governed by each platform’s own privacy policy.
2. Information We Collect
Information you provide to us
We collect the account details you give us (such as your name and email address) and the content and schedules you create using the tool — for example, the posts, captions, media, and publishing times you set up for your connected accounts.
Information from connected platforms via their APIs
When you connect a social media account, we receive information from that platform through its official API, with your authorization. This includes:
- Access tokens — the credentials the platform issues so that our tool can act on the connected account on your behalf;
- Basic profile information — such as your name or handle, account or page ID, and avatar/profile image; and
- Content and insights — where you authorize it, the content associated with the account and post-level analytics and insights (such as views, reach, engagement, and similar metrics) so we can publish on your behalf and report on performance.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information described above only to provide the Services you have requested — specifically, to schedule and publish content to your connected accounts at the times you choose, to manage those connections, and to produce performance reporting for the content we publish on your behalf.
To be explicit about what we do not do:
- We do not sell your personal data.
- We do not use your data for advertising unrelated to your own accounts.
- We do not use your data, your content, or platform data to train artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models.
4. Platform-Specific Disclosures
TikTok
We access TikTok through its official APIs, including the Login Kit and the Content Posting API, and we comply with the TikTok Developer Terms and the TikTok Community Guidelines. Data obtained from TikTok is used only to publish and manage the content you schedule through our tool, and it is not shared with third parties.
Meta (Facebook & Instagram)
We access Facebook and Instagram through Meta’s official APIs under the Meta Platform Terms. We use this access to publish content to the Facebook Pages and Instagram accounts you connect, and to retrieve the insights you authorize, solely to provide scheduling, publishing, and performance reporting for those accounts.
YouTube
This application uses YouTube API Services.
By using the YouTube-connected features of our tool, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. In addition, Google’s Privacy Policy, available at https://policies.google.com/privacy, applies to information handled by YouTube API Services. You can revoke this application’s access to your data at any time via the Google security settings page at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions.
5. Data Storage & Security
We store your information on our own secured infrastructure and apply administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect it. Access tokens are protected, and access to stored data is restricted to authorized operators who need it to provide the Services. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information using reasonable industry practices.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share information only as needed to operate the Services — for example, with trusted service providers (such as hosting and infrastructure providers) who process data on our behalf and under obligations of confidentiality — and with the social media platforms you connect, as required to publish and retrieve the content and insights you have authorized. We may also disclose information where we are legally required to do so, or to protect our rights, safety, or property or those of others.
7. Data Retention & Deletion
We retain your information for as long as needed to provide the Services and for legitimate business or legal purposes. You are in control of your connected accounts: when you disconnect an account from our tool, we revoke our access to it and delete the stored access tokens associated with that connection.
You may also request full deletion of your data at any time by emailing us at hello@thesocialfable.comwith the subject line “Data Deletion Request.” Upon receiving a verified request, we will revoke any remaining platform access and delete the personal data and content we hold about you, except where we are required to retain certain information to comply with the law. We will confirm once your request has been completed.
8. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, update, or delete the personal data we hold about you, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to request a copy of your data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@thesocialfable.comand we will respond in accordance with applicable law. You can also disconnect accounts and revoke platform access at any time using the tool or the relevant platform’s settings.
9. Children
The Services are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age of majority in their jurisdiction (and, in any case, not from anyone under 13). If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, please contact us at hello@thesocialfable.com and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page, which serves as the effective date of the current version. Where appropriate, we will provide additional notice of material changes. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
